CHALLENGE

Georgia’s embassy in Madrid asked FJ Communications to do a study with the aim of exploring what type of awareness existed regarding Georgia’s image amongst stakeholders and Spanish opinion leaders. The objective was to gather enough representative opinions to accurately reflect the popular Spanish conception of the former Soviet Union.

STRATEGY

FJ Communications designed a detailed map of representative contacts; this target group included politicians, businessmen, academics, and intellectuals. To identify these targets, FJ made extensive use of its relevant networks of contacts. FJ Communications’ substantial experience in organizing the Economist Conferences in Spain (for over five years) enabled us to directly get in touch with the main Spanish opinion leaders.

RESULTS

The client’s expectations were completely fulfilled as both the quality and quantity of the answers were very satisfactory. FJ Communications drafted a report with the main findings that is currently being used by the embassy as a model for further opinion studies in other European countries.
